Roccagloriosa

From the village of Roccagloriosa a large dirt road that passes under Mount Capetinali takes us to Castel Ruggero. From here we can admire the valley of the Bussento river. At Castel Ruggero we turn left and staring descending the valley of the Mingardo river to the source of the Tufolo torrent, offering a marvellous view of the Mingardo valley and of Mount Gelbison and Mount Cervati. A small track then takes us to the archaeological site of Roccagloriosa (fifth to first century BC). After a short visit of the remains we turn back to the center of Roccagloriosa where we visit the tipical medieval hamlet and its castle.
