Tre Aie

The first part of this trip goes from Camerota to the SS. Annunziata sanctuary at Licusati. From the sanctuary a steep climb takes us to Tre Aie. This plateau, covered by mediterranean maquis and dotted by few oak and chestnut groves, offers a spectacular panorama of Mount Bulgheria to the east and Capo Palinuro to the west. After visiting an abandonned iazzo a large dirt track takes us again to Camerota, where we visit the beautifully preserved medieval town center.
